Part-Time Newborn Nanny Job in Duvall, WA | 20 Hours per Week
Duvall, WA
Part Time
Early Childhood Education
Mid Level
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Seattle, WA
Office: Jovie of Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, WA
Summary:
A bit about us: We are first-time parents in Duvall looking for an experienced and caring nanny to support our family with our newborn, born in early September. We’re hoping to welcome someone into our home late October for approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 30 hours per week when Mom returns to work in late January. Our home also includes two medium-to-large dogs, so being comfortable around larger dogs is important, although you will not have any pet-care responsibilities. We are a relaxed family and hope to raise a flexible little one without feeling tied to an overly rigid routine. We also love the outdoors, and as our baby grows, we’d be excited for our nanny to enjoy stroller walks, parks, trails, and other little adventures with him.
A bit about you: You have strong newborn and infant experience and feel confident stepping in to support first-time parents as they navigate this new season. You understand infant development and age-appropriate enrichment and can comfortably take initiative without being overly rigid. You’re relaxed, flexible, and happy to follow the baby’s cues while communicating openly with parents about how his day is going. We’d especially appreciate someone who can recognize what needs to be done and offer helpful guidance while respecting our parenting preferences.
What You’ll Do: Your primary responsibility will be providing attentive, nurturing care for our newborn while following his natural rhythm for feedings, naps, play, and diaper changes. At the beginning of each shift, you’ll connect with Mom about how the night went, how much he has eaten, and anything else that may be helpful for the day ahead. During his awake time, we’d love age-appropriate play and enrichment, with opportunities for stroller walks and outdoor time as he grows. If time allows, baby-related household tasks such as washing bottles, picking up after him, and helping with his laundry would be helpful. As he gets older and begins solids, assistance with preparing age-appropriate foods would also be a wonderful bonus. “Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.
