A Little About Us
We're a busy, loving family of four in Ladera Ranch — and life right now is full in the best possible way. A curious 6-year-old who never runs out of questions. A baby who is currently discovering that hands are fascinating. A mom who is present, involved, and genuinely trying to do it all — and just needs a great person in her corner.
That's where you come in.
We're not looking for someone to take over. We're looking for someone who fits naturally into the rhythm of our home, genuinely loves being around kids, and finds real satisfaction in making a household feel calm and cared for.
Oh — and we have a small dog who will immediately consider you her best friend.
What Your Days Will Look Like
Some days you're on the floor building Legos with our 6-year-old or doing art projects at the kitchen table. Some days you're helping soothe the baby through a fussy afternoon while Mom gets a moment to breathe. And sometimes, when the kids are settled or napping, you're folding laundry, tidying a play space, or just helping the house feel like itself again.
It's not glamorous every minute — but if you're the right person, you already know that. And you love it anyway.
Specific things you'd help with:
- Creative play, reading, outdoor time, and activities with our 6-year-old
- Infant care alongside Mom — feeding, soothing, tummy time, nap routines
- Light household tasks: laundry, tidying, keeping kids' spaces organized
- Being a calm, joyful presence that makes everyone's day a little easier
Tuesday–Saturday: Hours TBD
- Fridays and Saturdays require a later start and end time.
- Schedules are set in advance. Changes are rare and communicated clearly.
- We can discuss hours and are flexible, offering a full-time or part-time position.
We travel 2–3 times per year and would love someone who is open to joining us.
When traveling, you can expect:
- To be treated as a professional member of the household team
- Clear expectations and communication
- Private accommodations and respected downtime
A valid passport (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
The Kind of Person We're Hoping to Find
You're warm but not chaotic. You're proactive without being pushy. You notice what needs to be done and just do it — not because you were told to, but because you take pride in it.
You're great with babies and with bigger kids. You communicate openly, show up when you say you will, and treat our home and our kids like they matter — because to you, they genuinely do.
Experience with infants specifically is really important to us. If you have that, tell us about it.
What We Offer
- $25–$35/hour, depending on experience and fit
- Guaranteed hours
- Paid time off and paid holidays
- A long-term role for the right person
- A home where you'll be respected, appreciated, and treated like the professional you are
One Thing We'd Love You to Answer
Tell us about a time you were in someone's home caring for their kids and noticed something that needed attention — something nobody asked you to handle. What did you see, what did you do, and what made you decide to step up?
We ask this because it tells us everything a résumé can't. There's no wrong answer — just be honest and specific.
We know the right person is out there. If you read this and thought 'that sounds like me' — please reach out. We'd genuinely love to meet you.
