Bellevue, WA
Full Time
Childcare
Experienced
Position Type: Full-Time
Location: Bellevue, WA 98004
Office: Jovie of Bellevue, WA
Summary:
A bit about us: We are an active Bellevue family seeking a dependable and engaging nanny for our 11-year-old son, who will be entering 5th grade this fall. He is easygoing and can be shy at first, but opens up once he feels comfortable. He enjoys chess, tennis, sports, and staying active, and our family also enjoys short trips and road trips together. We also have a Corgi named Lucki, so someone who is comfortable with dogs and willing to help with walks will fit right in. This will be our son’s first experience having a nanny outside of family care, so we’re excited to find someone who can become a trusted and positive presence in his daily life. The position is expected to begin sometime in September 2026, around the start of the school year, and continue through June 2027. Afternoons will generally include household support before school dismissal, greeting the child after school, transportation to sports or SSAT courses, homework and academic support, and helping him prepare for the next day before Dad takes over around 7:00 PM.
A bit about you: You are a confident, communicative caregiver who enjoys working with school-aged children and is ready to serve as both a nanny and positive role model. Strong vocabulary and math skills are important, as our son is preparing for the SSAT and will benefit from someone who can reinforce concepts and assist with assignments from his after-school courses. You demonstrate leadership while also having the patience to build a comfortable relationship with a child who may initially be reserved. You have at least 2–3 years of in-home nanny experience and are a safe, reliable driver with your own dependable vehicle. Most importantly, you are someone who can spend meaningful one-on-one time with our son while providing consistency, guidance, and strong communication.
What You’ll Do: Your afternoons will begin with light household support before our son arrives home from school around 2:40 PM, including tidying and folding laundry. You’ll greet him after school, help him transition into his afternoon, and drive him to sports, SSAT courses, and other scheduled activities using the family’s shared calendar. Once home, you’ll help ensure homework and SSAT-related assignments are completed, particularly providing guidance with vocabulary and math. You’ll also prepare simple snacks or meals such as sandwiches and help him get organized and ready for the following day. Additional responsibilities include walking the family dog and communicating regularly with Dad about the day, including promptly sharing any incidents or concerns.: “Text NANNY to 206-752-6917 to apply and schedule your interview in under 3 minutes.
