Summary:

A bit about us:
We are a busy but laid-back family of four, Mom, Dad, and our two daughters, ages 5 and 3. We have moved around a few times over the years, but Dad is originally from Minnesota, and we have strong roots in the area. Our dog is also a very important part of our family, and we lovingly consider her our oldest daughter! As a family, we enjoy getting outside whenever we can, whether that means taking walks or bike rides around the neighborhood or spending time on or near the lake. Our girls are playful, creative, and full of imagination—they love playing games, make-believe, art, and Barbies. We are looking for a warm, dependable, and organized person to become an important part of our household. This role combines after-school childcare with proactive household support, and our goal is to find someone who enjoys creating a calm, organized home and helping our family run smoothly so we can spend more quality time together.

A bit about you:
We are looking for a warm, dependable, and proactive nanny who is interested in a long-term position and enjoys becoming an integral part of a family’s routine. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who naturally notices what needs to be done and takes ownership without needing constant direction. Reliability and safe driving are especially important, as this role will include helping with the children’s transportation and daily activities. We would love to find someone who is creative, crafty, and genuinely enjoys playing make-believe and engaging with young children. Our girls love to have fun and use their imaginations, but we also value someone who is comfortable setting appropriate boundaries and confidently stepping into an authoritative role when needed. Above all, we are looking for someone who will bring a positive, dependable presence to our home and grow with our family long-term.

Job Duties:
The nanny will begin each afternoon with household management responsibilities from approximately 1:30–3:15 p.m., helping keep the family’s home organized and running smoothly. Duties will include completing laundry, weekly meal planning and grocery shopping, meal preparation, preparing healthy snacks, tidying, and occasionally assisting with household administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and services. From approximately 3:15–4:00 p.m., the nanny will provide school transportation by picking up our youngest from school by 3:30 p.m. and then picking up our oldest from her bus stop at 4:00 p.m. From 4:00–5:30 p.m., the focus will shift to engaging, hands-on childcare, with activities such as outdoor play, bike and scooter rides, arts and crafts, reading, imaginative play, games, and puzzles. The nanny will encourage kindness, independence, and age-appropriate responsibility while helping the girls clean up after activities and maintain tidy bedrooms and play spaces. Maintaining consistent afternoon routines, preparing healthy snacks, and communicating highlights from the day with the parents will also be important. We follow a no-screen-time policy during these hours unless otherwise discussed, including avoiding videos or similar content on the caregiver’s phone. No two days will look exactly alike, and the nanny should be comfortable taking initiative and adjusting priorities based on our needs.
