Summary:
A bit about us: We’re a Kirkland family seeking warm, dependable support for our 8-month-old son while our older child attends daycare. We value a caregiver who is respectful, communicative, and attentive to detail. Our home environment is calm, structured, and focused on safety, cleanliness, and nurturing early development.

A bit about you: You’re an experienced caregiver who enjoys working with infants and understands developmental milestones in the first year of life. You follow directions carefully, communicate openly, and appreciate a tidy, organized workspace. You are comfortable maintaining established routines while bringing creativity and warmth into your day with the baby. You also understand professional boundaries and limit phone use during working hours.
Position Options:
Our family is open to two different focus areas based on the your strengths:
  1. Educational Nanny: Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote the baby’s emotional, sensory, and cognitive development. You’ll prepare simple lesson or play plans and share updates with parents.
  2. Household Support Nanny: Focus on maintaining the baby’s environment and assisting the family with household support tasks such as laundry, dishes, tidying play areas, and wiping down high-touch surfaces.
Typical Day Includes:
  • Providing nurturing, attentive care for the baby throughout the day
  • Preparing and cleaning bottles, changing diapers, and maintaining feeding and nap schedules
  • Holding, reading, singing, and engaging in gentle play
  • Cleaning and organizing baby’s areas; using baby-safe products provided by the family
  • Following specific household hygiene routines (family provides clean clothing for use in baby areas)
  • Communicating daily updates and promptly reporting any concerns or incidents
  • Designing and implementing activities that stimulate emotional and mental growth, tailored to the children’s developmental stages.

Start Date: As soon as the right fit nanny can start.
Location: Kirkland, 98033

Qualifications:
  • Experienced: Extensive experience caring for very young children (starting as early as 1–2 months) with both professional nanny experience and lead teaching experience in early childhood education.
  • Emotionally Attuned: Ability to support emotional growth through nurturing care, understanding developmental milestones, and fostering secure relationships.
  • Clean and Safety-Focused: You follow best practices for hygiene and prioritize safety in all caregiving tasks.
  • Creative: Skilled in arranging activities that promote mental stimulation, creativity, and joyful exploration.
  • Energetic and Joyful: You bring positive energy and enthusiasm into every interaction with the children.
  • Vaccinated: You’re fully vaccinated, including baby-related vaccines and COVID-19.

Set yourself apart: If you have strong knowledge of baby milestones, enjoy bringing fun and creativity into a toddler’s day, and value clear communication with parents, you’ll be a fantastic fit! We hope you’re comfortable with pets too, we have an American Shorthair (but no pet responsibilities are expected, she’s older and does not move around a lot).

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11:00 am to 7:00 pm (some flexibility required)
Occasional evenings (until around 9 p.m.) may be requested when dad travels for work, about once per month.

Pay: $35 an hour

**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
