Encinitas, CA
Part Time
Seeking Experienced Nanny
Experienced
A bit about us:
We are a kind, active and routine-oriented family of five including our friendly Golden Retriever, Denver. We are expecting our 3rd child due in December which is why we need your help with our 2 toddler boys while I care for our new baby. Our family is Catholic, but we are super welcoming of our nanny whoever he, she, or they may be.
Our 3-year-old son is car-obsessed, and he’s very high-energy! He is in an obstinate phase and requires patience. He doesn’t like activities that require him to sit still for any lengthy period. He would like a nanny who is fun, attentive, and likes to sing to him!
Our 20-month-old likes what his big brother likes. He likes moving and pushing cars. He likes toys that light up and/or move! He takes some time to warm up to new people.
A bit about you:
You are organized, active, and energetic! You’re no stranger to two high-energy toddlers! You have no vacation plans from November-January (other than Thanksgiving week) You are adaptable and able to follow an existing routine/parenting style. You truly engage with the children you care for and can entertain them without screen time. You are comfortable in an environment where the parents are at home. (It won’t be a co-care relationship as you will be in charge of the two toddlers.) You prioritize health and safety, and have open communication! You are comfortable with a large (70lb), loving dog!
Job Duties:
Changing diapers, ensuring safety, engaging children in play and activities, re-enforcing kindness and good manners, assisting with feeding both children (no meal prep other than cutting food/plating food and using a microwave), putting children down for naps, following safe sleep guidelines, continuing potty training, cleaning up after potty training accidents, general tidying after meals, washing, folding and putting away children’s laundry, walking the dog, child-related cleaning and occasional vacuuming,
Position Highlights:
Set yourself apart: You have ABA or experience with children with behavioral issues, are very detail-oriented, and/or have more than 3 years of experience with toddlers. You enjoy cleaning and are open to additional household tasks. You are able to work additional hours if occasionally requested.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (12-5p)
Duration: ASAP-January 2025
Pay: $25-$31 an hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
*Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time. This family is following these recommended guidelines cautiously and conservatively and expect the caregiver to do the same to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
