A bit about us:
We’re a close-knit party of 5! We love going to the farmer’s market, bike-riding, board games, and finding new, fun parks! We’re also a musical family. We foster independence in our home, so our kids are not babied. We value and respect their feelings and questions. My husband and I both work hybrid schedules and will be out of the home 2-3 days a week.
Our 6-year-old son likes chess and he is a rule follower. He likes Science, biking, climbing and Legos.
Our 5-year-old daughter exists to entertain her brother; she only wants to make him laugh. She likes art, storytelling, and pretty things.
Our 3-year-old daughter is sweet and cuddly; she has a big personality. She likes climbing, gymnastics and art.
A bit about you:
You are a morning person who enjoys talking and telling stories! You are patient and engaged; you enjoy interacting. You are extroverted, confident, and attentive. You can be a little firm when needed and are comfortable with a structured routine. You have strong time management skills and can manage children’s safety when walking or driving to their school.
Job Duties: Preparing breakfast, which could be cereal or pancakes (Mom may prep the pancake batter and then you cook it), telling/listening to stories, time management of the morning routine of kids eating, getting dressed, putting on their shoes, packing a snack, walking or driving children to school, ensuring safety, and ensuring they arrive on time each morning. After drop off, the last hour (8:30a-9:30a) is light household tasks such as cleaning up the kitchen from the morning rush, children’s laundry, and tidying the play area.
Position Highlights:
Set yourself apart: You are musical and/or you can play chess/have always wanted to learn to play chess!
Schedule: Monday-Friday (5:30a-9:30a)
*Can be flexible: Fridays are optional and/or ending at 8:30a if needed.
Pay: $35-$39 an hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired. This job is not visa eligible.
*Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time. This family is following these recommended guidelines cautiously and conservatively and expect the caregiver to do the same to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
