Summary:

A bit about us:
Hey you! We are an outgoing, relatable, and friendly family of 4! We love going to arcades, museums, and farmer’s markets as a family. We both work long hours in entertainment, and struggle to find the time in our day to keep our home in order. This long-term position is roughly 65% household management/tidying and 35% childcare. I am naturally very organized and we do have a housecleaner so we are not looking for a nanny to do any deep-cleaning. FYI I am very allergic to most pet dander so we are looking for a nanny who is conscientious about changing their clothing (if they have lots of pets) before coming to work.

Our 6-year-old son loves building things, Legos, making art, and creating things out of boxes. He has a big imagination! The care is primarily for him.

Our 3-year-old daughter is at daycare year round. She will only be home if school is closed for a holiday or if she is sick.

A bit about you:
You are proactive, communicative, caring, and organized. You follow instructions easily, and prefer a structured household. You enjoy light cleaning and helping busy parents by putting toys in labeled bins and creating more space for quality time with their kids. You like to play, and you have a sunny disposition. You are cool as a cucumber, and know how to negotiate with kids when needed. You might be an AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego) or Tetris will always have a place in your heart. You can be a little flexible with your schedule with prior communication, and are open to a variation in the routine/schedule in the summer on Tues/Wed/Thurs.

Job Duties:
Kids laundry, changing sheets for kids, tidying kids’ rooms, tidy up child’s bathroom (no toilet cleaning), some vacuuming, washing dishes/loading dishwasher, cleaning counters, cooking simple meals a couple times a week and/or picking up a to-go order school pick-ups for 1 child only, ensuring safety, prepare a snack, homework help, playing and building Legos, checking our son’s chore chart and involving him in tasks to foster independence, and running errands. In the summer, pick-ups will be from summer camp and might do some additional driving for fun summer excursions with our son.
