Part-Time Nanny for 3 and 1.5 year olds
Minneapolis, MN
Part Time
Student (College)
Family Location: Minneapolis, MN
Summary:
A bit about us:
We are a family of four, Mom, Dad, and two girls ages 3 years and 18 months. We both have demanding careers, but our children are truly the center of our lives. Finding a caregiver who feels like a natural fit with our family dynamic is very important to us. We lived in Chicago previously, but moved to Minnesota in the recent past. We love exploring all the city has to offer with our children. Regular outings to the zoo, children’s museum, and library are some of our favorite activities, along with discovering both indoor and outdoor spaces around the city. On Sunday afternoons, we enjoy attending music class together, and at times, the kids also participate in swimming lessons. During the summer, we spend many weekends at our family cabin, enjoying time outdoors and making lasting memories together.
A bit about you:
We are looking for an energetic, positive nanny who enjoys staying active and can happily keep up with a busy 18-month-old and 3-year-old. You are patient, nurturing, and genuinely enjoy engaging in play, whether that means making animal noises, playing with playdough, or getting creative with arts and crafts. You are able to meet the children where they are, and provide age and developmentally appropriate activities. Reliability is especially important to our family, as our jobs do not offer much flexibility for call-outs or working from home. We are seeking someone who is mature, experienced, and brings several years of hands-on childcare experience. Driving will be required for this role, and the nanny will need to use their own vehicle.
Job Duties:
Our days vary slightly, but generally begin with getting the girls up and ready for the day, and taking our oldest to preschool. After returning home, the youngest will either take a nap or enjoy free play until lunchtime, followed by an afternoon nap. In the afternoons, we love to spend time outside or visit the nearby library. Around 2:30 p.m., you would pick up our oldest from preschool and return home for snack time and more free play until mom arrives home.
Position Highlights: 30 hours a week guaranteed, paid holidays and PTO
Qualifications: Mature, engaging, reliable and patient caregiver with at least 2+ years experience
Set yourself apart: Speak another language, have a local pool of nannies you like to get together with!
Schedule: Starting Mid-February, Monday to Thursday generally 9 am until 3 pm, but occasionally 7 am- 5 pm. Ideally a candidate who can commit to at least a year+.
How to Apply: Apply Here; email [email protected] or text "nanny" to 952-260-8906 to start the process!
Pay: Starting at $25/hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
*Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time. This family is following these recommended guidelines cautiously and conservatively and expect the caregiver to do the same to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
