Jovie is hiring enthusiastic Preschool Assistants to support young learners in local preschool classrooms throughout Seattle. This is a wonderful opportunity for childcare professionals who enjoy fostering early learning in a structured, play-based environment. Pay: $24/hour

What You’ll Do

• Provide safe, nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
• Support feeding, naps, and daily routines
• Encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities
• Create a positive environment where children can learn and grow

Schedule

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday availability 10am to 6pm
• Part-Time: 2-3 days per week, afternoon until 6pm
• Work with local preschools

You’ll be a great fit for this childcare job if you:

• Have at least 1 year of childcare or customer service experience
• Love working with children of all ages
• Are dependable and professional
• Communicate well with co-workers and children
• Can provide 3 references (At least 2 related to childcare work; 1 character)
• Are least 18 years old

Good to know: Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings.

Do I need previous childcare experience?
No. We welcome informal experience from babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, and other childcare settings, as well as customer service.

Will I work with one preschool or multiple preschools?
Assignments vary based on preschool staffing needs, your availability, and scheduling preferences.

What ages will I care for?
6 weeks to 6 years old

What happens after I apply?
Our recruiting team will review your information and schedule a Zoom interview. Next, we will conduct screening and reference checks; and send an offer to join the team if qualified. You’ll join us for Orientation and Training on the Jovie Way, then we’ll match you with preschools that fit your location and availability. Pay dates are every two weeks!

Providing stimulating and safe caregiving is an active role. For your and a child’s safety: Can you safely lift 35lb? Can you safely react quickly to protect a child from a fall?*
