Family Location: 92618
Summary:
A bit about us:
We are a loving, health-conscious family who values routine, kindness, and emotional awareness. I’m looking to have some much-needed “Me Time” in my day, and we are also considering having another child. We enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring parks, and sharing meals together. Our family responds well to calm energy and structure, and we are looking for someone who can blend into our rhythm and become a trusted part of our team.
Our 3-year-old son is a ball of energy! He is on the spectrum, and it can feel more like caring for a 1-year-old in terms of his cognitive, verbal development, and eating habits. He’s very sweet and likes squeezes. He loves climbing, kinetic sand, music, Ms Rachel, and swimming!
A bit about you:
You are calm, patient, and confident, with experience supporting children with autism or similar developmental needs. You are physically active, attentive to safety, and able to keep up with a busy, mobile child. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable helping with household tasks while maintaining a nurturing presence. You communicate thoughtfully and know how to read a room and adapt your approach.
Job Duties:
Provide attentive care, engage in play, outdoor walks, sensory-friendly activities, assist with feeding, meal prep, and encouraging healthy eating, support potty training, diapering, and bathing, ensure safety at all times, including outdoor and balcony awareness, drive to activities or outings as needed, perform household tasks including laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and tidying, maintain a clean and organized environment, collaborate with parents, especially during the initial co-care period.
Position Highlights:
Qualifications: Experience with autism, behavioral therapy, or special needs care, minimum 1 year of childcare experience, Child CPR certification, valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle, ability to swim, comfortable with moderate to heavy household tasks, and intermediate cooking ability.
Set yourself apart: It would be amazing (not required) if you have a background in behavioral therapy or speech support, strong physical stamina, musical talents/interests, and/or experience with infants for future family needs
Schedule: Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Optional: Occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) and date nights
Start date: ASAP
How to Apply:
Pay: $27-$33 an hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
