Childcare
Experienced
Jovie
Seattle, WA, USA
Summary:
A bit about us: We’re two friendly, close-by West Seattle families looking for a warm, experienced nanny to care for our two infant daughters in a long-term nanny share. We value reliability, excellent communication, and a genuine love of engaging with little ones. Our daughters will be 7m and 5m when the position begins. To start, care will take place at one family’s home, with a regular alternating-day schedule between households beginning later this year. Both families enjoy music, cooking, and a mix of calm and lively energy in our homes. We’re seeking a professional caregiver who feels like part of the family and will be with us for years to come.
A bit about you: Our ideal nanny has several years of professional infant care experience (5–7 years preferred, though we’ll consider candidates with at least 3 years if you have strong nanny share experience). You’re dependable, calm, and confident in your skills, yet open to feedback. You value open communication, provide updates throughout the day, and follow each family’s routines. You understand infant development, bottle-feeding, introducing solids, and supporting early milestones. You avoid any kind of screen time with children, and focus fully on their care. You also are respectful of privacy and never share details about children in your care with others or post about them on social media. Being bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Job Duties: This role is primarily focused on high-quality infant care, including feeding, naps, playtime, and developmental activities. You’ll help with light household tasks related to the children, such as baby laundry, cleaning bottles, tidying toys, and simple baby food prep. Both homes have small, friendly dogs, so basic pet awareness is needed, but no direct pet care beyond pets and letting them out occasionally. Weather permitting, we love outdoor walks and fresh air for the girls. You’ll work closely with both families, both dads work from home, so comfort in a collaborative environment is key.
Start Date: Mid-September
Location: Seattle, 98126/ Seattle, 98116
Position Highlights: Guaranteed weekly hours (even if one family is away). Long-term, stable role with two wonderful families. Opportunity to grow with children from infancy onward. Families would love to discuss additional compensation benefits with the right fit nanny.
