Jovie is hiring experienced, engaging caregivers to provide in-home care for children with local families throughout the Twin Cities metro area. This is a great opportunity for childcare professionals seeking a rewarding job with supportive leadership and opportunities for growth.

Pay: $16.50-$25+/hour (depending on experience and position)

What You’ll Do

• Provide safe, nurturing care for children
• Support feeding, naps, and daily routines
• Encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities
• Communicate with parents about their child’s day
• Create a positive environment where children can learn and grow

Schedule

• Varying open positions with part-time or full-time hours
• Many positions offer flexibility
• Work with vetted local families

You’ll be a great fit for this job if you:

• Have at least 1 year of childcare experience outside of family/friends
• Love working with children
• Are dependable and professional
• Communicate well with parents and children
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Can provide references (At least 2 related to childcare work; 1 character)
• Are least 17.5 years old

Good to know: Experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous nanny experience?
No. We welcome experience from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, and other childcare settings.

Will I work with one family or multiple families?
Assignments vary based on family needs, your availability, and scheduling preferences.

What ages will I care for?
Depending on each position, we do work with families with children from newborn all the way to teen.

What happens after I apply?
Our recruiting team will review your information and schedule an interview. Next, we will conduct screening and reference checks; and send an offer to join the team if qualified. You’ll join us for Orientation and Training on the Jovie Way, then we’ll match you with families that fit your experience and availability. Pay dates are every two weeks!

Providing stimulating and safe caregiving is an active role. For your and a child’s safety: Can you safely lift 35lb? Can you safely react quickly to protect a child from a fall?*

Are you able to provide at least two references, that are of no family relation, to speak to your childcare experience? This can be a previous boss, coworker, neighbor, or teacher. We will need two that are childcare-related.*

Are you available for at least 3 full days for shifts (6-9 hours per shift) between the hours of 7AM- 7PM weekdays?*

Do you have at least 1 year of consistent babysitting or childcare experience, excluding work for friends and family?*
