Looking for a meaningful and flexible summer job working with kids? We’re hiring seasonal summer sitters to support families throughout San Diego County!

We are an approved respite provider, offering both short-term summer placements and flexible “On Call” assignments, perfect for students or anyone looking to make a difference during the summer months.

About the Role

Spend your summer making an impact! You’ll support neurodivergent children and teens—including those with autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy—through engaging, fun, and supportive care.

We Look For:

• Energetic, engaging, and child-focused individuals who enjoy play, outdoor activities, arts & crafts, and creative learning
• Experience with special needs is a huge plus (but not required)
• Childcare or nanny experience preferred (paid or unpaid)
• Willingness to work with multiple families in different home settings
• Reliable, insured transportation to travel throughout San Diego County
• A cell phone with data to manage schedules via our app
• Summer availability, with flexible part-time or full-time shifts (typically between 12:00pm–9:00pm)

Example Summer Shifts:

• 12:00pm–6:00pm
• 2:30pm–6:30pm
• 12:30pm–8:30pm

Additional Benefits:

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and getting up/down from the floor
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in various situations
