Part-time Nanny for Seattle Infant (15-18 hrs per week) Placement

Jovie
Seattle, WA, USA

Summary:
A bit about us: We’re a warm, pragmatic, and organized family living in Seattle’s 98122 neighborhood with two young children, an infant who will be about 5 months old in July, and a 2.5-year-old toddler. We’re seeking a part-time nanny to care primarily for our baby during the day, with occasional care of our older child outside of his regular school hours. We value a caregiver who is reliable, attentive, and confident in infant care, especially one who can read feeding cues and create a calm, engaging environment. One parent is often home during the day and may occasionally pop in or out, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable with that dynamic.

A bit about you: Our ideal nanny is calm, dependable, and nurturing—someone who brings thoughtfulness and practical experience to their work. You should be confident with both infants and active toddlers, able to manage bottle feeding with sensitivity, and eager to get down on the floor to play, read books, and go for walks. You’re organized, loving, and enjoy supporting young children's development through calm structure and engaged play. Bonus points if you're familiar with caring for high-energy kids or have experience supporting families where parents are present but hands-off during the day.

Job Duties: You’ll care primarily for our infant, supporting feeding, nap time, tummy time, stroller walks, and gentle play. Light tidying related to the children (e.g., cleaning up toys, dishes from meals, and children's laundry) is appreciated. If time allows, preparing meals or snacks for the children would be helpful. Our toddler will usually be at school during nanny hours, but we’re looking for someone who feels comfortable caring for both children when needed.
