Our 8-year-old enjoys art, imaginative play, bike rides to the park, and practicing piano daily. She is sensitive, sweet, and gets along really well with people who are gentle and kind. She goes to a Japanese school on Saturdays which is the reason we’d love a nanny who is bilingual in Japanese and English.

A bit about you:
You are warm, patient, and genuinely caring—especially with children who may feel anxious in new situations. You are bilingual in Japanese and English, experienced with newborns (0–12 months), and confident supporting infant routines. You communicate transparently with parents, prioritize safety, and work well as a team. You enjoy engaging children in art, reading, imaginative play, and meaningful connection.

Job Duties:
Provide attentive newborn care beginning at approximately 2 weeks old, support feeding, diapering, bathing, and safe sleep routines, pick up infant from daycare beginning week drive children as needed engage 8-year-old in creative play, reading, and limited screen-time activities, support daily piano practice (bonus if musically inclined), complete children’s laundry, warm pre-prepared meals as needed
maintain a tidy child-focused environment, follow no-screen policy for infant and limited screen use for school-age child.

Qualifications:
3 years of childcare experience (minimum), newborn experience (0–12 months required), some experience with school-age children, fluent in Japanese and English (strongly preferred), infant CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), valid driver’s license and clean driving record, reliable personal vehicle that you are comfortable driving children in, willing to complete driving and drug screens, and comfortable working when children are mildly ill.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (4-8p)
                  OR
                  Sunday-Thursday (Sundays could be 8 hours long and Monday-Thursday (4-8p)
                  Estimated Start Date: 4/20/26!
                  *Schedule requires flexibility for the first 6 weeks if possible.

How to Apply:

Pay: $26-$35 an hour (based on experience and bilingual qualifications)
