Full-time Summer Nanny for a 3, 2 year old and a newborn

Family Location:  Edina, MN

Summary:

A bit about us:
We are a fun-loving family of five, Mom, Dad, our two toddlers (ages 3 and 2), a newborn, and our friendly golden retriever. While we now call Texas home, we spend our summers in Minnesota, where we’re fortunate to be surrounded by close family and friends. We value kindness, respect, and working together as a team, and we strive to create a positive, supportive environment for our children. Our days are often filled with outdoor play, laughter, and hosting playdates with our cousins who live nearby. We love making the most of our time together and building meaningful connections both within our family and our community.

A bit about you:
We are seeking a confident, engaging, and proactive nanny who brings both warmth and structure to their care. The ideal candidate has experience working with toddlers, particularly ages 2 and 3, and is comfortable taking on a leadership role, setting clear boundaries, and helping guide positive behavior and rule-following. We value someone who is hands-on and enthusiastic about participating in daily activities, from park outings and swimming to bike rides with a strong focus on safety. A background or strong interest in teaching, especially Montessori principles, is highly preferred, along with at least 3–4 years of experience working with young children. Daycare or early childhood classroom experience is a plus. Above all, we are looking for someone who is actively engaged, nurturing, and passionate about supporting children’s growth and development.

Job Duties:
The day typically begins with assisting in preparing breakfast and snacks, organizing the diaper bag, and helping the children get dressed and ready for the day. You will support Mom in getting one child out the door for an activity while engaging the other children in a fun, age-appropriate activity at home or out and about, returning around midday. After lunch, the children go down for a nap from approximately 12:30/1:00–3:00 PM. During nap time, responsibilities include tidying up common areas, putting away laundry, and handling dishes to help keep the household running smoothly. Once the children wake, you will prepare a snack and lead another activity to round out the day, with opportunities for outdoor play in our backyard. Driving will be required, and the family has a vehicle for the nanny to use.
