A bit about us:
We’re a creative and silly family of 4 if you include our little old lady dog, Sugar who also wears diapers. When we are not working, we are probably doing goofy voices to entertain our baby girl, drawing, or watching Tik Tok. Dad works outside the home half the week, and I solely work from home. We are open-minded and tolerant of all walks of life!
Our funny, silly girl is now 1 and ½! She has entered her “No” era. We love that she is strong-willed and independent. She loves dancing, and you will not be judged on your dancing ability cause she certainly doesn’t judge us on ours! She does have an egg allergy and we have Epi-pens available which we can show you how to use if needed.
A bit about you:
You are active, upbeat, funny, and playful! Toddlers are your favorite age group! You are proactive and get excited about coming up with fun activities and going on adventures outside of the home. You are vigilant when it comes to safety cause our toddler needs someone holding her hand when walking outside or helping her down the stairs! You are super engaged and observant. You are happy to align on our parenting methods which always come from a place of love and safety. You are also open-minded and tolerant of all walks of life.
Job Duties:
Child-related tasks like starting child laundry, spritzing the changing table, and picking up toys when our child naps, but 80% of the job is about ensuring our daughter is cared for and engaging her with activities and outings like taking her to the park, storytime at the library, trips to the zoo, Huntington Gardens, etc. during her wake windows. Communicate anything important to the parents if you observe anything of concern and learn to use an Epi-pen if needed (which we will teach you). Food prep for our child, but Mom will provide the menu which will be pretty simple things.
Position Highlights:
Qualifications: 2 years minimum of childcare experience with toddlers (18 months-3 years old). Must be CPR certified, have a clean driving record, a valid Driver’s License, and be willing to transport our child for outings when needed.
Set yourself apart: You have prior experience with potty training, a Child Development education, and/or experience working at a preschool. You are someone who values education and play! You are open to dancing (no skill required)!
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-2p)
Starts ASAP!
Pay: $25-$29 an hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired.
