Summary:

A bit about us: We are a warm and welcoming family navigating a period of transition and seeking a reliable, nurturing Household Manager Nanny to provide stability and support. Our two school-aged children (ages 5 and soon to be 8) are bright, creative, and enjoy activities like art, Legos, and imaginative play. They thrive on routine, consistency, and calm guidance, especially as they adjust to some upcoming family changes. When the children are home, the focus will be on school drop-offs and pickups, after-school care, homework support, and meaningful playtime. When the children are with their other parent, we would love help keeping the household running smoothly through errands, organization, and light household management. While the role will primarily be based in Bellevue, it may transition into a hybrid position between Bellevue and Kirkland in the future as both parents establish their households.

A bit about you: You are calm, kind, and routine-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to anticipate household needs before they arise. You enjoy being an active and positive presence for children while also thriving in a household manager role, balancing childcare with tasks like grocery shopping, laundry, and household organization. You’re comfortable working alongside a parent who often works from home and can adapt to a schedule that blends childcare and household support. A safe driving record, dependable transportation, and COVID vaccination are musts for this role. Job Duties: This hybrid position balances childcare and household management. Mornings include preparing the children for school, assisting with breakfast, and providing transportation to school. Afternoons focus on school pickup, homework support, bath time, and creating a calm, consistent routine until the evening. During school hours and alternating weeks when the children are with their other parent, household management tasks include grocery shopping, light tidying, laundry, meal prep, and errands such as dry cleaning or restocking supplies. This role offers the opportunity to keep the household organized while building a strong, supportive connection with the children. 

 Start Date: Ideally by September 3^rd (the start of the school year)

Location: Bellevue, 98004

Qualifications:

·       Multiple years of experience with school aged children.

·       Safe driving record and reliable vehicle for school transportation.

·       COVID vaccinated.

·       Strong organizational and household management skills

·       Calm, nurturing, and routine-oriented approach.

·       Glowing references from recent nanny positions.

Schedule: 30-40 hours a week M-F

·       Critical childcare hours are Monday - Friday, 6:30–8:30am and 4:00–7:00pm.

·       Additional flexible hours during the school day and on alternating weeks will include household errands, chores, and family assistance, bringing the position to 30–40 hours per week. Some flexibility may be required based on the parent’s work and travel schedule. We are also flexible if you have any important appointments that need to be made between the critical hour windows.

Pay: $35-40

Working Conditions and Requirements:

• Work environment will be active, kid-centric and includes clean up of activities
• Part of each day may be spent outside, weather permitting, and will be active play
• Essential Physical Requirements:
  • Position involves regular lifting, bending, squatting, reaching and pushing
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds safely
  • Must be able to get up from and down to the floor numerous times throughout the day
  • Will need to be able to react quickly to certain situations
  • May need to react to emergent situations in a calm, effective and safe manner
