A bit about us: Hello! We are an active, blended family with five kiddos seeking a part-time caregiver to help us keep things moving. We are easy-going parents, who work from home. Our children are 14, 14, 12, 11, & 10 and range in interests from music, to DnD, to sports, to animals! The older kids are pretty self-sufficient, so care is mostly for the younger two. Our schedules are busy and the kids are involved in a lot of activities, so helping us stay on track would be very helpful. We hope you’re an animal lover, we have cats, a dog, and chickens!
A bit about you: Team work makes the dream work and we’re looking for someone to be apart of our family team. If you are the type of person who would be able to help create a chore chart, this is the position for you! All of the kids are extremely smart and creative and so keeping them engaged in special projects that adhere to their interests would be impactful. Three of the kiddos have special needs. You understand that reliability is number one for this family. A self-starter who isn’t afraid to jump in and find creative recipes for the whole family would be great! We’re hoping for someone with a calming presence who can take an interest in our individual kid’s interests. We love sharing ideas with our caregivers about what’s working, and so open communication is key. Hours can be added to help the family with grocery shopping/additional errands.
Job Duties: Care is mostly for the 10 and 11 year old. Driving would be required to pick up and drop off from school and activities. Currently, the main duties are keeping the kiddos on task and adhering to schedules. Making sure the kiddos are finishing homework, giving reminders for cleaning up, and having them each read 20 minutes a day.
Position Highlights: Guaranteed hours
Qualifications: 2 year of Special Needs experience, CPR First Aid Certified, Clean driving record
Set yourself apart: An interest in animals/music will be a great asset for this family
Schedule: Tuesday 8-5pm, Wednesday 8-11am, + Additional hours- up to 20 guaranteed. Long term position, starting ASAP and going throughout the calendar year.
